Connerly Paid Self $2.2 Million for “Speaking Fees and Interviews”
Out of the over seven million in salary Connerly has pocketed, $2.2 million includes payments from 2004-2006 that Connerly paid himself just for “speaking fees and interviews.” ACRI’s federal tax reports for the period mid-2005 to mid-2006 state that Connerly was paid a $217,000 salary plus $957,000 for “speaking fees and interviews.” [American Civil Rights Institute IRS form 990, July 1, 2005-June 30, 2006, p. 18.]
Since Connerly has made it a practice to pay himself for “speaking fees and interviews,” has he paid himself, for example, to appear on “The View” as he did in May of this year? How much did he pay himself for the op-ed he recently penned for the Wall Street Journal? And, when he was interviewed in June by The Denver Post how much did he pay himself to talk with a reporter? - Connerly Paid Self $2.2 Million for “Speaking Fees and Interviews”
