Connerly lies about his role as a lobbyist for contacting special interests

While Connerly is a long time lobbyist for the contracting industry, he continues to deny ever lobbying for contractors in California. In fact Connerly lies about it on camera in a recent interview on the PBS NOW program.

Connerly’s support base has for a long time come heavily from the contracting and property development industries, with which Connerly has long maintained a profitable relationship through his influence peddling business, Connerly & Associates. Connerly’s ties to the contracting industry grew out of his political connections with Pete Wilson and the California Republican establishment.
